 How Long Can I Keep My Books, Videos or Audios?

 All Books, Videos and Audios can be checked-out for 3 weeks (21 days), with the exception of IN DEMAND ITEMS.  IN DEMAND Items can by checked out for 1 week (7 Days) only.

How Many Items Can I Check Out?

You may have up to 25 items of your choice checked-out on your card (including a maximum of 3 audio books on CD, a maximum of 2 videos and a maximum of 2 DVD's).

 Can I Renew Items I Have Checked Out?

All books, videos or audios CAN BE renewed only once.  This means that you can renew your book, video, or audio for another 3 week loan.  IN DEMAND items CANNOT be renewed.

    Items can be renewed by patrons via our online catalog, telephone, or in person during a visit to the library.

What is the charge for OVERDUE items?

Patrons will be charged $0.20 per day/per item for all books, videos and audios.  Patrons can only be charged a maximum of $5.00 per overdue item.

    All overdue fees attached to items returned in our BOOK DROP will be charged to the borrower’s account and the patron will be responsible for the fees on their next visit to the library.

What if I lose or damage the book, audio or video I have checked out?

If an item is damaged, please notify a staff member when you return the item and we will determine if the item can be repaired or we will help you arrange payment so that the library can replace the item.

    You will be billed for the replacement cost of the item if it is damaged beyond repair.

    If an item is lost, or is 4 weeks past due, you will be billed the replacement cost.

What is an IN DEMAND Item?

Our IN DEMAND Collection includes our most popular books, such as those on the current bestseller list.  Items are classified as IN DEMAND after two successive requests have been placed.  This means that if 2 or more people have requested the same title – that title will be added to our IN DEMAND Collection until such time as there are no loner any patrons waiting on our request list to read this title.  REMEMBER – IN DEMAND BOOKS CAN ONLY BE LOANED FOR ONE WEEK (7 DAYS) WITH NO RENEWALS.
